Great B&B in Gettysburg

Once in a while you come across something really good in an unexpected way. Last weekend, we were traveling back from an out-of-state funeral, and decided to spend the night in historical Gettysburg. The first motel we tried was full, but they hooked us up with a B&B just off the main square in town.

What a delight they were, so I wanted to pass on the recommendation. Aunt Pittypat's B&B and Tea Room. Give them a call if you are ever going to visit Gettysburg, and come hungry for breakfast! You can email them, or call them on 717-338-1832.

They don't have a website yet, but they are above (and a part of) the American Historical Art gallery.

Long Absence

I apologize for the long absence. I have a new job with no internet access. So much for lunchtime posts. I need to get into a new habit which will allow me to post at least once a week.

Stay tuned.

Life out of Death

The Susan M. Torres Fund

Rarely do we see real-life so clearly demonstrate principles. It does happen though, and that is the good side of our media rich society. In the past, such stories would take on the pall of legend. Legen preserves a story, but it also makes it distant.

Through the media (and internet), stories such as the Torres' can be spread world-wide in the present. I also find it interesting that there seems to be little attention from the organized media on the Torres, but there is some.

This takes great courage on the family's part. Let's keep them in our prayers.
